Frequently Asked Questions
How do I use this 3D print timer?
1. Get Estimate: Copy the estimated time from your slicer (Cura, PrusaSlicer, Bambu Studio). 2. Enter Start: Input when you are clicking 'Start' (Start At mode). 3. Get Result: See exactly when you need to be at the printer for collection.
What variables affect 3D print time accuracy?
Slicer Buffer: Most estimates are 95% accurate; add 10% for first layer checks. Warm-up: Heating the bed and nozzle can add 5-15 mins depending on ambient temp. Variables: Manual changes in speed, acceleration, or many filament swaps (AMS/MMU) can extend the time.
Should I start a long print at night?
Calculate the finish time! A 12-hour print started at 10 PM finishes at 10 AM. If you won't be there to collect it, it's often better to wait and start it later so it finishes exactly when you return home.
